The innovative and advanced design of the EXIOS is now available as a barrier version too. The new EXIOS Barrier has all the features of the EXIOS, but uses a compound to make it flameproof. When installation requires a barrier seal, i.e. IEC 60079-14/10.4.2 this is the gland you want to use.
EXIOS has been certified as per the latest IECEx and ATEX standards. The requirements in regards to strain relief and density have been increased dramatically through a more demanding aging test. The new EXIOS meets those requirements. Through the special "Interlocking Armor Cone" it is ensured that, during the assembly, no torsion is transferred onto the cable.
